Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about plans, monitoring types, alerts, status pages, and on-prem deployment.

What is Pingr?+

Pingr is an uptime monitoring platform for websites, APIs, TCP services, and infrastructure endpoints. It checks availability, tracks incidents, sends alerts, and can publish public status pages so your users always know what's happening.

How fast does Pingr check my monitors?+

Check intervals are configurable per monitor. Free plans support standard intervals; paid plans unlock faster cadences and advanced check types like TCP, SSL expiry, and multi-location monitoring.

What alert channels are supported?+

Email and Telegram are available on all plans. Pro adds SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS alerting (billed at actual carrier cost). Each monitor can choose its own notification channels.

Can I create a public status page?+

Yes. Status/health pages are available on StartUp, Team, Pro, and On-Prem plans. Free plan users can upgrade to publish branded public status pages with uptime and incident history.

What is the On-Prem Deployment plan?+

On-Prem Deployment (₹10,000/month) delivers the complete Pingr monitoring stack as a Dockerized setup in your datacenter or cloud account, in any region. All check data and incident history remain inside your environment.

Do I need a credit card to start?+

No. The Free plan includes 10 monitors with no credit card required. Sign in with Google and start monitoring in under a minute.

How does incident auto-resolve work?+

When a monitor recovers, Pingr tracks consecutive successful checks. After a recovery threshold is met, the open incident is automatically resolved and logged in the timeline.

Can I monitor private/internal endpoints?+

Cloud Pingr checks public endpoints. For internal services, use the On-Prem Deployment plan to run probes inside your network or VPC while keeping the same dashboard and alerting experience.
